The children will be invited to come and buy from a display of Mother’s Day gifts on:
• Friday 22nd March – Year 4, 5 and 6
• Monday 25th March – Year 2 and 3
• Tuesday 26th March – Rec. and Year 1
The gifts will cost from just £1 up to £4Payment will be needed on the DAY.
So, if you would like to support this initiative, please place your child’s money in a labelled envelope, and send it into school on the day of their sale. This year children will not be able to reserve gifts if they don’t have any money, however they may be able to attend a sale on a following day.   The Friends of St Philip’s are working on reducing the plastic they use in these sales, please help them by sending in a named carrier bag for your child’s purchases.
Thank you in anticipation of your help in raising funds to support and enrich our children’s education.  We hope you enjoy your special day.

Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS)

A Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) took place on February 7th. Our assigned inspector, Ann Lock, was tasked with grading the school on the following question: How effective is the school’s distinctive Christian vision, established and promoted by leadership at all levels, in enabling pupils and adults to flourish? Ann spent the whole day with us exploring this question through seven strands. A huge thank you to all the pupils, staff, governors and parents who met and worked with the inspector. We had a very positive day and we eagerly await the inspector’s report which will be shared with parents when it arrives.

Thank you!

A huge thank you for all of your generous donations of toiletries for Room at the Inn. These donations will make such a difference to many, many people. Thank you to the choir for requesting this fundraising event – what a truly wonderful thing to do.

Our Christian value this week has been perseverance. As part of health week, children were set the challenge to partake in an extra 30 minutes exercise a day, and aim to walk 10 miles by the end of the week. The children have showed great determination to achieve this pledge!
