School Council

At St Philip’s we work closely as a team and value the opinion of our children. Our school council members meet once a month to discuss ways in which we can improve our school together. All of our school council members have been elected by their class mates and will be part of the team for a full school year.

This school year the School Council have already surveyed the children about what equipment they would like on the playground at lunchtime and playtimes. This information is currently being used to purchase new equipment and to improve the playground itself, with these ideas being implemented within the Summer Term.

The School Council have also planned and led an Anti Bullying assembly for both the Infants and Juniors, sharing important messages and a fantastic anti-bullying rap from Britain’s Got Talent!

Most recently the council surveyed each class to find out what they would like to see on the website. One suggestion involved the school council creating a vlog about their work – see our initial vlogs below!
