Half Term

Wishing you all a wonderful half term holiday. We look forward to seeing you on Monday 25th February.

Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS)

A Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) took place on February 7th. Our assigned inspector, Ann Lock, was tasked with grading the school on the following question: How effective is the school’s distinctive Christian vision, established and promoted by leadership at all levels, in enabling pupils and adults to flourish? Ann spent the whole day with us exploring this question through seven strands. A huge thank you to all the pupils, staff, governors and parents who met and worked with the inspector. We had a very positive day and we eagerly await the inspector’s report which will be shared with parents when it arrives.

Thank you!

A huge thank you for all of your generous donations of toiletries for Room at the Inn. These donations will make such a difference to many, many people. Thank you to the choir for requesting this fundraising event – what a truly wonderful thing to do.

Our Christian value this week has been perseverance. As part of health week, children were set the challenge to partake in an extra 30 minutes exercise a day, and aim to walk 10 miles by the end of the week. The children have showed great determination to achieve this pledge!

Health Week

Next week will be health week in school; we have lots of exciting activities and learning planned, beginning with our Sports Ambassadors launching the week with our Monday morning worship. As a school we will be focusing our learning upon developing healthy bodies and minds and living a healthy lifestyle.

NSPCC Donations

A huge thank you for all of your donations today to the NSPCC. Kristy led a very informative parent e-safety session this morning and Matt led both a Key Stage 1 assembly and a Junior assembly, which reinforced some very important keep safe messages with the children. Matt will be back in school next week to lead workshops for Mr Callaway’s class and both Year 6 classes.

Welcome Back!

It was lovely to welcome the children back to school yesterday and hear all about their holiday news. We are looking forward to a fun half term!
